Thank you for all the great comments and feedback about our 2009 annual Chinook PTSA carnival! We are pleased to announce that our auction raised over $5,000 for our PTSA!!! What a fun day! Mrs Wear, Mr Kauffman, Mrs Riley, Mr Lapidus, Mrs Unger, Mrs Humber, Mrs DeKlyen, Miss Smith, Mrs. Theer, & Mrs Isaacson joined us. They were all impressed and excited about this wonderful event! We had many visitors, including returning families, neighbors, and all of your friends. It was especially great to see all the dads and extended family there! Thank you to all the volunteers who staffed this great event, as well as the families who baked cakes and treats for the amazing bake sale and cakewalk. A special thank you to Michelle Marshall for the wonderful Silent Auction that was "top notch". We also would like to thank Lisa Lukan- volunteer coordinator, Kathy Black- carnival organizer, Debbie Swee - cake walk and bake sale organizer, and Gretchen Jensen, who made sure that everything ran smoothly. We had two businesses this year that sponsored the event. Winco donated our delicious food and Kohls provided 5 volunteers as well as monies for our school. Thank You Chinook Families --for making this our best carnival ever!! The funds that are raised for the PTSA support so many wonderful programs during the school year, including Read ‘N Lead, Snuggle Up and Read With Dad Night, Family Nights, Staff Appreciation, Publishing Center, Reflections, and more; including several grants: Supportive Reading Grant -- supports the Staff Assistant Position Choir Grant -- supports Wolf Pup Choir Technology Grant -- supports Accelerated Reader program and materials Media Center Grant -- supports the library and media room
